Cameroonian heavyweight fighter Maxwell Djantou Nana delivered a commanding performance, securing a unanimous decision victory over American Karl Williams as the Professional Fighters League (PFL) returned to the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Saturday, May 2.

Nana, who recently rejoined PFL Global after featuring in the inaugural season of the promotion’s Africa League, produced a masterclass display, convincingly winning all three rounds in the opening bout of the evening.

The emphatic victory at PFL Sioux Falls improves the Cameroonian’s professional record to eight wins and two losses, further cementing his status as one of the rising contenders in the heavyweight division of PFL.

The 35-year-old, who trains with Manchester Top Team, signed with the PFL in 2024 and defeated American Kent Mafileo on his debut before transitioning to the promotion’s Africa League, PFL Africa roster a year later.

In his PFL Africa debut, Nana defeated Côte d’Ivoire’s Mickael Groguhe during the inaugural heavyweight playoffs but fell short in the semifinals against South Africa’s Justin Clarke, ending his quest to become the pioneer PFL Africa Heavyweight Champion.

The PFL Sioux Falls event featured 12 bouts across multiple divisions, with standout performances on both the undercard and main card.

In the headline bout, former interim Bellator Lightweight World Champion Logan Storley earned a dominant unanimous decision win over 2024 PFL Europe Welterweight Champion Florim Zendeli. In the co-main event, 2024 PFL Lightweight World Champion Gadzhi Rabadanov of Dagestan overpowered Latvia’s 2025 PFL Europe Lightweight Champion Alex Chizov.
