Cameroonian mixed martial artist Alain Majorique is set for a bantamweight clash against Nigeria’s Raphael Uchegbu in the PFL Africa semifinals in Morocco on Saturday, October 10, with both fighters looking to book their place in the final.

The 12-fight card, to be staged at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, will be headlined by Senegal’s Abdoulaye Kane and Morocco’s own Badr Medkouri in a Heavyweight showcase. It features six high-stakes semifinal matchups alongside a number of non-tournament fights also featuring stars like 2025 PFL Africa Welterweight Champion Yabna N’Tchala, who suffered a shock defeat in the first round of the 2026 season against Peace Nguphane in Pretoria.

Known as “The African Assassin,” Majorique suffered a razor-thin split-decision loss to Dwight Joseph in the PFL Africa quarterfinals in Nigeria last June but has earned a place on the semifinal main card after Uchegbu’s original opponent, Karim Henniene, withdrew from the bout.

“Karim Henniene is OUT. Stepping up to answer the call is Cameroonian powerhouse Alain Majorique,” PFL Africa announced, without stating the reason for the withdrawal.

With six wins in eight professional fights, Majorique had come close to winning the inaugural PFL Africa Featherweight Championship belt before his title ambitions were halted by Nigeria’s Wasi Adeshina, who secured victory through a doctor’s stoppage. Majorique subsequently dropped to the bantamweight division this season.

The only Cameroonian fighter on the PFL Morocco card, Majorique faces a tough test in Uchegbu, an aggressive pressure fighter with 11 wins in 13 professional bouts, including five submissions and four knockouts.

The fight card will open with an all-Moroccan lightweight bout between Abderrahman Errachidy and Oussama El Ismaili.

In the women’s division, Nigeria’s Jane Osigwe, who lost her PFL Africa debut to fellow Nigerian Juliet Ukah, will face hometown heroine Sanaa Mandar in what has been described by analysts as an “unfinished business” rematch following their previous meeting outside the PFL SmartCage.

Osigwe previously secured a unanimous-decision victory over Mandar in August 2025 at AKO 10. While the Nigerian striker will be looking to bounce back from a split-decision loss in April, Mandar will be seeking redemption in front of her home crowd.
