We are horrified and appalled by the massacre that took place in Mamfe, Southwest Region, on Sunday night. According to local sources, at least 20 civilians were killed and several others injured by armed men suspected to be Ambazonian separatists.

Among the victims were a nine-month pregnant woman who was raped and shot, and many others who were burned alive in their houses.

This is one of the deadliest attacks in the ongoing Anglophone Crisis, which has claimed thousands of lives and displaced millions.

We strongly condemn this atrocious act of terrorism and call for an end to the violence and bloodshed. We urge the authorities to investigate this incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.

We also express our deepest condolences and solidarity to the families and communities affected by this tragedy.
