Swiss sportswear company, FOURTEEN is new kit supplier for Cameroon national football teams, the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has announced.

In a release Tuesday, February 4, 2025, FECAFOOT said the Geneva-based kit supplier was selected “following a rigorous evaluation process”. The selection of FOURTEEN from six bids was also backed by recommendations from the FA’s Internal Contract Award Commission.

FOURTEEN replaces One All Sport whose contract was terminated in August 2024. The FECAFOOT announcement did not give further details about the deal.

Created in 2011, Fourteen has partnered with just one national football team, Kosovo, prior to this deal. But FECAFOOT said its credibility and track record are “exemplary”.

FOURTEEN described the deal with FECAFOOT as a “significant milestone” in their journey.

“The partnership with FECAFOOT reflects our shared vision to elevate athletes’ performance through stylish, sustainable, and top-tier sportswear,” the Swiss company said on its Facebook page.

“We thank FECAFOOT for their trust, and belief in this partnership. It’s one that will continue to inspire pride, passion, and excellence in football. This is only the beginning,” the new Indomitable Lions’ equipment supplier said.

Although the Swiss sportswear supplier is not very popular, it has, however, entered into in partnership with a couple of clubs and federations. It’s the kit supplier of the Swiss basketball and tennis federations.

It also supplies kits to Bendel Insurance (a men’s football club in Nigeria) and Edo Queens FC, a women’s football team still in Nigeria.

FOURTEEN also clothes CS Italien Genève, Aka Aarau and  Gigi Riva academy.

In the meantime, football lovers in the country have expressed mixed feelings regarding the recruitment of the not-too-popular Swiss brand. While some hold such a little-known brand should not have been recruited to clothe one of the strongest teams in Africa, others argue equipment do not replace players. Thus, the argument on who clothes the players have not place according to those who share the view.

FOURTEEN is the second kit supplier under Samuel Eto’o since taking over from Seidou Mbombo Njoya in 2021. Just one year in office, Eto’o terminated the contract of French kit supplier, Le Coq Sportif and brought in One All Sport. The French kit supplier later pressed charges against the FA for abusive termination of contract.

The partnership with One All Sport would only last until August 2024. The country has been without a kit supplier since then.
