UBA Cameroon has been awarded the prestigious Best Visa Bank in Central Africa at the Visa CEMAC Client Summit 2025, held in Douala on March 7, 2025. This accolade reinforces the bank’s leadership in delivering cutting-edge and digital payment solutions across the region.

The award was presented by Ismahili Diaby, Vice President and General Manager for West and Central Africa at Visa. Receiving the honor on behalf of UBA Cameroon was a distinguished delegation, including Joseph Abena, Country/Regional Head of Marketing & Corporate Communication for Cameroon and Central Africa, Honoré Sogoue, Head of Transaction Banking, and Theresia Etoke, Team Lead for Cards Digital Business in Transaction Banking.

The recognition, officials said underscores UBA Cameroon’s unwavering commitment to providing secure and efficient payment services tailored to the needs of both individual and business customers. The bank continues to offer a range of Visa products, including Visa debit and prepaid cards, ensuring seamless financial transactions across the Central African region.

As UBA Cameroon celebrates the achievement, it remains dedicated to enhancing its digital banking infrastructure and fostering financial inclusion through innovative solutions. This award serves as a testament to the bank’s relentless pursuit of excellence in the financial sector, according to officials.
