Cameroon’s cultural diversity in unity will be on the limelight when the maiden edition of the “Living Together” festival opens in the nation’s capital, Yaounde come April. Spearheaded by the renowned musician Stanley Ebai Enow popularly known as Stanley Enow, the festival has received the patronage of the Ministry of Arts and Culture (MINAC).

Scheduled to take place from April 13 – 19, 2025 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde, the event was the main topic of discussion between MINAC boss, Pierre Ismaël Bidoung Mkpatt and Stanley Enow during an audience in Yaounde on Friday February 7, 2025.

The “Living Together” festival promises a rich and diverse cultural activities centered around the theme of harmonious coexistence. It will feature artistic performances and community engagement, bringing together artists from all ten Regions of Cameroon and beyond.  Beyond the scheduled performances, the festival will offer valuable workshops in ICT, agriculture, and fisheries, demonstrating a commitment to community development, the organiser said.

The week-long event will culminate in a grand concert showcasing Cameroonian cultural musical heritage.

“This festival is an opportunity to celebrate our shared heritage and strengthen the bonds that unite us,” emphasized Stanley Enow during the audience. The native of the South West Region and the driving force behind the festival was as well encouraged by the Minister of Arts and Culture.  He highlighted the importance of fostering a sense of belonging and togetherness among Cameroon’s rich and diverse artists.

Organisers say, the “Living Together” festival aims at providing a platform for artists to share their talents and for communities to connect and celebrate their shared identity.  They envision the festival as a beacon of hope and unity, not only for Cameroon but also as an inspiring example for the world.  The event’s inclusive spirit and focus on cultural exchange, position it to become a landmark celebration in Cameroon’s cultural landscape come April.

About Stanley Enow

Born in Bamenda in the North West Region and raised in Bafoussam in the West Region, Stanley Enow hails from Manyu in the South West Region. The “Bayangi Boy” as he is popular known has carved a remarkable path from radio presenter to internationally recognized rap star.

His journey began in Douala, where he honed his communication skills crowned with a degree in Business Communication from the University of Douala and working as a presenter and producer for various private radio stations.  During this time, he hosted popular programs like “The Groove” and “Cocktail Hit Parade”, even venturing into television with the music program “Mboa”.

However, Enow’s passion for music, nurtured since his secondary school days through RAP lyrics writing and breakdancing, ultimately led him to pursue his true calling. His distinctive style and elegance also made him a sought-after figure for advertising campaigns with major companies.

Enow’s musical breakthrough came in June 2013  with the release of his debut single “Hein Père”, a track that quickly gained traction and earned him the prestigious award for best video of the year at the Balafon Music Awards. This success propelled him into the spotlight, launching a thriving music career that has produced two albums, over thirty singles and numerous international performances.

His global presence has taken him to renowned events like the SXSW festival in Houston, Texas and even Janet Jackson’s party celebrating the release of her track “Made for Now”.

Beyond his musical achievements, Stanley Enow is a dedicated philanthropist and social advocate.  In 2013, he established the Stanley Enow Foundation, demonstrating his commitment to community development.  He also serves as an UNICEF Cameroon ambassador for the Young & Strong Campaign, raising awareness on critical social issues affecting young people.

Enow’s philanthropic efforts extend to supporting various charitable causes, including visiting orphanages, aiding families impacted by the Bafoussam landslide, and actively participating in COVID-19 relief and awareness initiatives.  His commitment to social responsibility underscores his belief in using his platform to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
